About this code
  • This is a static code: the content is baked into the image, valid forever and never expires.
  • If the content (GTIN / batch / serial / expiry) changes, you must regenerate the code — it can't be edited remotely.
  • Resolution redirects and the product page are hosted by your own domain; we don't host or relay them.

Learn about GS1 Digital Link

04 · Sunrise 2027What is GS1 Digital Link / Sunrise 2027GS1 Digital Link lets a single QR code carry both a product identifier (GTIN) and a URL — retail POS can read the price, and consumers can scan for details. Sunrise 2027 is GS1's global migration target: by 2027, retail checkouts should be able to read both traditional barcodes and QR codes.
05 · Official GS1 registrationWhere does a GTIN come fromA GTIN must be registered and assigned by an official GS1 organization, bound to your company prefix; it can't be made up. This tool only assembles the spec-compliant URL and generates the code — it does not assign GTINs.
06 · Your own domain hostingResolution hosting (on your own domain)The QR code contains a Digital Link pointing to your own domain; the resolution, redirect and product page display after scanning are all handled by your own server/domain. This site only generates the static code locally — it doesn't host resolution or relay data.

FAQ

No. It's a static code; the GTIN, batch, serial and expiry are all baked into the image, so any content change requires generating a new code.
